Like Victoria Police Legacy, we were established by Victoria Police members to help fellow police officers secure loans and get a better deal from their bank. More than forty years later, we're still the bank for police - so giving back through this partnership allows us to pay homage to who we are and where we've come from - Bank Vic CEO Anthony De Fazio

    Bunnings Warehouse

Bunnings Warehouse Australia donated $40,000 to Victoria Police Legacy for the families of four officers killed on the Eastern Freeway in April 2020 with 100% of those proceeds going directly to the families.

In 2020 Bunnings gifted an amazing $250,000 raised through the sale of Christmas lights to police legacy charities nationwide. A donation of $100,000 to Victoria Police Legacy supported 190 children aged under 22 statewide who have lost a parent in the police family. Thirty five were aged under 10 — the youngest just 18 months old.

We greatly appreciate the very generous support from the Bunnings team. https://www.bunnings.com.au

    The Police Association Victoria

The overwhelming concern our members feel when they put on the uniform to start their shift is not for themselves or their own safety, it's for their families should they not return home from work. Those who work to take care of their community, live to take care of their family.

That's why it's so important that if they don't return home at the end of their shift, like many of their colleagues before them, that someone is there to look after their family. For over 40 years, that someone has been Victoria Police Legacy. That's the greatest reassurance a police officer can have.

Victoria Police Legacy is an extension of the unique policing culture we all know so well - a community largely closed off to the outside world and one that proves its loyalty and value when times are at their toughest. For four decades, Victoria Police Legacy has been looking after the extended members of this closed community, the families of our fallen colleagues.

It's what I would want for my kids in the event that something happens to me. It's what I'm sure all our members would want for their families as well. That's why The Police Association Victoria endorses Victoria Police Legacy as it's official charity for police - Wayne Gatt. secretary of The Police Association Victoria
